The Internet Governance Forum (IGF) 2019 programme consists of two parts: the regular conference and workshop programme starting on 26 November, and the pre-events on 25 November, also known as “Day Zero”.
The various interest groups participating in the IGF can set their own focal points within these pre-events. These self-organised events may include informal working meetings, project presentations or international symposia, for example; the format and content of these are in the hands of the respective organisers. The host country, Germany, is using the chance to put together a high-level meeting consisting of representatives from governments, business and civil society.
Additional pre-event requests can now be submitted to the IGF Secretariat. Available rooms and times will be allocated in the order in which events are submitted. It is essential that all pre-events’ content relates to questions of Internet governance.
If you represent an organisation, association or initiative that would like the opportunity to hold its own pre-event, you must submit your request by 23:59 UTC on 14 April 2019 (deadline extended), using the electronic form.
